n8n API Integration
Sysadmin Anywhere uses the n8n public API to manage workflows. Configure the API key in the main application’s environment as described in n8n setup.
- The application sends the key in the
X-N8N-API-KEYheader. - Set the base URL with
N8N_HOST; it must be reachable from the main application service. - The application uses n8n API v1 to list, inspect, run, and delete workflows and to show recent executions.
- This key is for Sysadmin Anywhere → n8n. It is not a credential for calling Sysadmin Anywhere APIs from n8n.
Check the connection under Automation → Workflows. If the list does not load, check the API key, container-to-container address, and main application logs.
Calling Sysadmin Anywhere APIs from an n8n HTTP Request node is a separate integration. Consult the product API documentation for supported routes and authentication; do not assume routes from older examples are available. For event-driven automation, configure an outbound destination under Settings → Webhooks and receive it with an n8n Webhook node. See the webhook guide.
